The Last Blog

We saw Dr Lily yesterday. Monday’s scan showed no sign of the cancer in the groin area. That means that it is on to the next test, the bone biopsy. It will be done at City of Hope, after seeing the doctor who originally saw Pat. The presence of residual high grade lymphoma cells in the bone will dictate further treatment, while some low grade cells will not have to be dealt with for a while, if at all. In any case nothing would be done for a while because a number of Pat’s blood findings are low. Some minor changes in the scan will be the object of periodic observation. At the end of the visit Dr Lily suggested that Pat should expect to live a full and normal life.

Generally, she is doing well. Today she started visiting the gym again - a half hour of easy walking and some work with the lightest weights. She anticipates regular workouts with slowly progressing challenges.

There will be less news as time progresses, witness the interval between the last two posts. The irregular periodicity of the blog update resulted in concern among a number of you regularly following Pat’s progress. As a result I will no longer be doing blog posts, but will be sending emails updates to those interested in receiving them.
