The weekend is going well. On Saturday, after a mini-activity morning, we went to Crystal Cove with friends. The beautiful day at home turned, at the beach, so that we were walking around in the mist. Then a short drive down to Laguna Beach - walk some more - dinner at the Lumberyard. The highlight of the weekend was Pat's declaration, as we were walking, that "I feel so good." Today was misty here in the morning, and because of expected no-shows for the morning walk, Pat and I walked the two miles to Bagel & Brew ourselves. We expected, and got, a ride home with another couple. Pat volunteered, "I'll be pleased if doesn't get worse that this." There probably won't be anything to report until after Lauren gets here, so our next post will probably Friday. Oh yes, the new pictures were taken yesterday

"The Pat in the Hat", especially in the second photo, looks fantastic. May the good times continue to roll

Dear Pat,
ReplyDeleteLoved you in your new hat. Do you have a photo of your beautiful garden to share on this blog? The last time we visited it looked lovely and now with the warmer weather, it should be flourishing (especially with your loving care).
We booked a week in July at Clint Eastwood's Mission Ranch in Carmel. It is only 1 mile from town and overlooks the ocean and sheep pastures. There is an historic 1850s farmhouse, a quaint restaurnat, piano bar nightly and 31 unique rooms. We have the "Honeymoon Cottage", which has a small fridge, fireplace and a patio in the back where one can sit and enjoy the view. They don't have an outdoor bathtub, but that's because honeymoon couples want privacy. It is booked for the rest of the summer, because of high demand and because couples get married on the property. I guess it is a good time to renew our vows.
We went to the 100th birthday party of my sculpture teacher's husband. It was lovely and there were not 1 or 2, but 3 large birthday cakes. (Enough room for 100 candles). Harry made a speech. He's really inspirational, and he also makes us feel YOUNG.
Talk to you soon.
Love and hugs,
Susan & Arnold
